As part of the new planning system which came into effect following the commencement of Part 2 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004), the current Minerals Local Plan for Warwickshire (1995-2005) and the Waste Local Plan for Warwickshire (1995-2005) will be progressively replaced by new Development Plan Documents (DPDs) within the Minerals and Waste Development Framework (MWDF). The current Minerals and Waste Local Plans will be ‘saved’ until September 2007. The new MWDF is being developed by Warwickshire County Council's Planning Policy Unit - for more information refer to Planning & Development - Emerging plans An Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is produced as part of the portfolio of documents within the new MWDF. The AMR reports on progress with the preparation of the new MWDF. It also reports on how Warwickshire County Council is meeting its objectives in terms of minerals and waste planning. However, until the emerging MWDF is complete and formally adopted, the AMR will report on how we are meeting the key objectives within the current ‘saved’ Minerals Local Plan and Waste Local Plan. This provides a valuable feedback mechanism to inform the development of new policies within the emerging MWDF. The Minerals and Waste Development Framework Annual Monitoring Reports cover the period 1 April - 31 March and are published in the following December. The first AMR was published in December 2005. The AMRs are produced by the Warwickshire Observatory and are available to download (PDF) from “Planning and Development - Annual Monitoring Report”.
